The Tally Connector brings your client's trial balance from TallyPrime into the software. It runs in your browser, on the computer where TallyPrime is open, and it only reads.

What it reads, and what it never does
It reads
- The list of companies open in TallyPrime
- The trial balance, for this year and last year
- The Tally groups
- The stock summary
- Bills outstanding
It never
- We cannot change anything in your TallyThe connector only sends Tally export requests, which read data. It has no instruction that creates, alters or deletes a voucher or a ledger.
- Our servers cannot reach your TallyOnly the connector in Chrome on your own computer talks to Tally. Nothing on our servers connects to it.
Privacy: The connector accepts messages only from autofs.in, runs only read-only exports, and works only after it is paired with your account.
Set it up in four steps
- Add the Tally Connector from the Chrome Web Store, in Chrome or Microsoft Edge on the computer where TallyPrime runs.
- Press F1 (Help) → Settings → Connectivity. Set "TallyPrime acts as" to Both and Port to 9000, then restart TallyPrime. 9000 is TallyPrime's default port. If you use another, set the same port under Settings > Tally Connector in the software. If antivirus or a firewall asks, allow TallyPrime.
- In TallyPrime press F3 (Select Company, Alt+F3 on older releases) and open the company.
- In the software, open the year and choose Pull from Tally. The first time, click Link connector to link the extension to your account.
Before you start
- A Windows computer with TallyPrime and the client's company.
- Chrome or Microsoft Edge on that same computer.
- An account in the software (the Free plan is enough).
